Title-The Aztec gods

Quetzalcoatl because he looks like a massive, enormous
dragon and looks like a witch with sharp claws and snakes around her bony, long hands. How big it is! What large, round eyes it has! What white, big teeth it has! What long rough body it has!

My favourite Aztec God Moctezuma. He was born in 1466 and died in 1520.
He was the 9th Aztec emperor of Mexico, famous for his dramatic battles with the Spanish people. In 1502 he became the leader of an empire.

Some of the gods of Aztec includes Huitzopochtlis, Talaloc,, Qutzal, Tezcatllipaca, Chieomet and Priests.

The one that interest me is Hultzitopchtli as he was the most fearsome and powerful of the Aztec gods.
He was the god of war, the sun and sacrifice. he was also the patron god Of the Aztec capital city of tenochitlan the great temple in honour of Huiclopch. And telco. His name I s. Thought. To mean ‘left Handed hamming Bird’. He Was often drawn. With. Feathers. And holding a sceptre made from snake.

My favourite Aztec God is Monetezuma because he was like a boss. He was a nice person and he was brave. Montezuma thought that Quetzalcoatl was Cortes so he didn’t want to fight him.

I chose Chicomecoatl because she used the sun as the
shield for her and she wears a headdress. She is the
only one who uses the sun for a shield that is the reason I like her.

Tlaloc because he can control thunder, storms and rain. The Aztecs were farmers so they needed rain to help the flowers and vegetable grow. Sometimes he even creates lightening

Chalchivtlicve

Chalchivtlicve is my favourite because she is a goddes of running water, streams,
lakes and rivers. She also saved fishermen. Water is very important in animals’ and plants’ lives as well as our’s because, we drink water and animals drink it too.
I also like her because her name means ”Woman of the Jade Skirt.

My favourite Aztec God is Tlaloc this is because of his large fang like teeth and big bulging eyes and also that he was so powerful that he was the God of the rain, lightning and thunder.

Tlaloc

His shrine was decorated with blue bands to respresent rain and water. Tlaloc was thought to live on the top of the mountains especially on the ones covered by clouds.

Quetzakcoatl is the greatest Aztec God who ever lived, because he killed Moctezuma. He was also from Spain and he wanted everyone to be Christians. He had 400 men but the Aztecs overpowered him because they had about 4000000 men.

I have decided to write about Tezcalipoca because he is one of the two war Gods. He is also the son of Omentl, who was the first creator of eternity. His brother was named Queutzacoatl who was the God of the feathered serpent.

I like Tezcalipoca because he is a war God and I enjoy playing war with my cousin.

My favourite Aztec God is Moctezuma. The reason I choose him over the other Gods that we have learnt about is: he is the King of Aztecs and he is strong and mighty. He is good to his people and has shining gold. He is the greatest of all Aztecs.

I like Tlaloc – Aztec God because as supreme god of the rain, Tlaloc was also a god of Earthly Fertility and of water. He was widely worshipped as a beneficent giver of life and substance. Tlaloc is also associated with caves, springs and mountains, most specifically the sacred mountain in which he was believed to reside.

I love drinking water as it’s good for our health, that’s why Tlaloc god is my favourite Aztec god.

Tlaloc means ‘He who makes things sprout’. He is God of rain, lightning and thunder. He makes floods and droughts. He has large, round eyes and jaguar fangs. He is often shown wearing a net of clouds, a crown of heron’s feathers and foam sandals. He carries a rattle to make thunder. He is worshipped as a giver of life. He is my favourite because of his jaguar fangs, they make him look really scary. Also because he makes thunder and rain, he is all powerful and can cause a lot of damaged if he wanted to.

God Tonatiuh

He was actually a son god. He moved the bright, yellow sun through the sky (the Aztecs thought). Tonatiuh was a mighty, powerful warrior. He had arrows and a shield.

Tlaloc (pronounced Tlá-lock) is the rain god. Tlaloc is my favourite god because it is cool how he can control rain and water. But I don’t like the fact that children had to be sacrificed. Tlaloc is an ancient God and he was so powerful that he could send rain and thunder and lightening. The Aztecs needed water to help all their plants and crops and vegetables and flowers to grow on their farms so Tlaloc helped them to live and prosper.

My favourite Aztec god is Quetzecotal because he is a feathered serpent and I like snakes. He is a God of peace not anger, which is good because I don’t want more wars to happen. Plus I think his name is awesome and cool!

The Aztec God that I have chosen is Tlaloc. Tlaloc was the God of rain and water. Although Tlaloc sent rain to help plants grow, he could also get angry and send thunder storms and hail. Tlaloc was worshipped at the great temple in the city of Tenochtitlan and also at the top of a tall mountain named Mount Tlaloc. He was drawn with fangs and big eyes. I chose Tlaloc because it sounds like my surname and my mum and dad both work with water.

Tlaloc is the god of rain and water. I think he looks funny, with fangs and googly eyes. The Aztecs sacrificed children to bring rain.
